Privacy policy

Rival Darts is an app by Softomic. This policy explains which data the app uses, why, and what your rights are.

In short

• You don't need an account and we never ask for your name or email address.
• Your matches, scores, statistics and settings stay on your own device.
• If you buy Rival Pro, the purchase is recorded under a random code, so you keep Pro and can restore your purchase.
• No ads, no tracking, no selling of data.

What stays on your device

The app stores only on your own iPhone or iPad: your matches and visits, your average, checkout percentage and records; Rival's level and your settings, such as your favourite double and whether the referee is on; and the names you enter when playing with friends, including your own if you enter it.

This data never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Deleting the app removes it. Apple may include it in a backup of your device, following your own iCloud or computer settings.

The referee calls scores with your device's own voice. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else for that.

Purchases

You buy Rival Pro through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to that.

To know whether you have Pro, we use RevenueCat, a service for managing purchases and subscriptions. When the app opens and when you buy, RevenueCat receives:

• a random code the app creates itself, which cannot be traced back to you without your device;
• your purchase history in Rival Darts: which product, when, and until when it is valid;
• data needed for the purchase, such as your App Store country and the app version.

We use this only to activate Pro, restore purchases and renew or end subscriptions. RevenueCat processes it on our behalf; see RevenueCat's privacy policy. This may mean data is processed outside the European Union. The legal basis is performing our agreement with you: without this data we cannot deliver your purchase.

What we don't do

• No ads and no ad networks.
• No tracking across other apps or websites.
• No analytics of how you use the app.
• No selling or renting of data.

This website

rivaldarts.com sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking services. To see how many people visit, our hosting provider counts page views without cookies and without following you across websites.

How long

Data on your device stays until you remove it or delete the app. Purchase data at RevenueCat is kept as long as needed to deliver and restore your purchases, and as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use. As we don't know your name or email, a request about purchase data needs the code that belongs to your device; email us at tom@softomic.nl and we'll help you find it. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Rival Darts is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
